Now you can book compassionate leave

We’ve added another oft requested feature to Bindle. You can now use Bindle to book compassionate (or bereavement) leave.

All Australian employees (including casual employees) are entitled to 2 days compassionate leave (also known as bereavement leave) each time it’s needed. It’s paid for full-time and part-time employees and unpaid for casual employees.

Compassionate leave can be taken when a member of an employee’s immediate family or household dies or suffers a life-threatening illness or injury, when a baby in their immediate family or household is stillborn, or when the employee or their spouse or de facto partner has a miscarriage.

Employees book compassionate leave just like they book annual leave - by clicking or tapping Make A Booking, selecting the required leave type and entering their dates.
