Reviews, releases, and robots

Posted by Damien on Jul 17, 2016

Whoah, time is flying by. I can‘t believe it is July already. Summer in California. Yay! Anyway, time for an update on what we‘ve been up to if you haven’t been following us on Twitter.

Since I last wrote, we‘ve been busy investigating chatbots, releasing some oft asked for improvements, adding some more endpoints to our API, and getting some fantastic reviews on Capterra.

Bongo Bindlebot Update

A few months ago, I was really interested in creating a chatbot for Bindle, but amid all my initial excitement about what a chatbot could do, it turns out that the tools available for the type of bot we want to build aren’t quite ready for primetime.

These tools are rapidly improving though so I‘m hoping we can pick this up again in the near future. I think it would be really cool to be able to ask for balances and make bookings via SMS, Slack, or Facebook Messenger using natural language. I’d love to build it!

API

One positive side-effect of building Bongo Bindlebot is that we created an API framework. We only have a few simple API calls at the moment, but its a start.

Every subscriber gets free support and unlimited access forever. If you‘re technically minded and into that sort of thing, check it out and ask for new endpoints you‘d like to see. The possiblilties are pretty interesting.

Rave Reviews

We‘ve also been lucky enough to get some rave reviews on Capterra from a few of our existing customers. It really is super encouraging to get this kind of feedback. It shows we might be on the right-track. Thanks again to all who kindly gave us a review.

We‘ve also gotten lots of positive comments about the Bindle Bus logo ❤️.

Ok. That‘s it. Back to work for me.
