Every working morning, Bindle posts a short note to the Slack channel of your choice saying who’s out today. Your team knows who’s away before the first meeting starts, and nobody has to open Bindle to find out.
That’s all it does, and we think that’s a good thing. Your team still books and approves leave in Bindle.
Sam and Priya are out on vacation.
Alex is out today.
Jo is out for the afternoon.

Some leave is private. If you mask a leave type in Bindle, such as sick or personal leave, the summary just says the person is “out today”.
The summary goes out once a day at 9am in your time zone. You can pick a different hour.
Bindle stays quiet on days when nobody is working, like weekends and public holidays. If you’d rather not hear “No one has any bookings for today”, you can turn on a setting that skips days when nobody is out.
You can’t request or approve leave in Slack. Staff request time off in Bindle, on the web or on their phone, and approvers get an email.
Bindle can’t read your Slack messages or see your channels. It asks Slack for one permission: to post to the single channel you choose. The summary only includes leave that the person who connected Slack can see in Bindle.
You’ll need a Bindle account first. No account yet? Start a free trial below and come back here. If anything gets stuck, email us and we’ll sort it out.
Bindle is also listed in the Slack Marketplace. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
